or Van Gogh's Correspondence for free. There's
also a biography and chronology of Van Gogh's

Timeline of Art History
The Timeline of Art History is a chronological,
geographical, and thematic exploration of the
history of art from around the world, as
illustrated especially by the Metropolitan Museum
of Art's collection. The Timeline will span art
history up to the present day by the fall of 2004.
ULAN (Union
List of Artist Names)
The ULAN Browser is a database of names and
associated information (such as dates, variant
names, pseudonyms, and language variants) about
artists. "Artists" can include individuals or
groups of individuals working together and range
from painters to ceramicists, and architects to
draftsmen. Currently contains some 220,000 names
representing about 100,000 individual artists.

about contemporary Vietnamese artists.

The main website of Art Vietnam Gallery, the

Web Gallery of Art
"The Web Gallery of Art is a virtual museum and
searchable database of European painting and
sculpture of the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque
periods (1150-1750), currently containing over
8,000 reproductions. Biographies, commentaries,
guided tours are available."

is a group of
multi-disciplined databases serving for most
users. Many databases in EBSCO are updated on a
daily basis. Below are some examples of relevant
databases:
Academic Search Premier
provides full-text for 4,500 publications covering
the disciplines: history, politics, literature,
languages, psychology, and sociology etc.
Blackwell Publisher
provides articles from 814 leading journals
covering the subjects: mathematics, informatics,
history, literature, languages, philosophy, and
law etc.
Oxford University Press
provides a variety of journals of a wide subject
coverage serving different groups of users.
Access to most of
these databases is open within LRC (Username and
Password are not required). For remote access,
contact Information Desk at level 1.
