How to use search engines?
Example: Finding
a
webpage about “Du lich o Hue” (City of Hue,
Tourism)
- Type the keyword “du lich”
into the search box

Click on the Search button, then press
Enter.

Results will be voluminous about “du lich” which is a general category.
For better results, specific information is
needed, such as “Du Lich Hue”. To optimize
the search even further,
use
Advanced Search.

Find any term
(Advanced search operator: OR) |
The search will return results that
include either one or more of the
keywords entered. |

Find all terms
(Advanced search operator: AND) |
The search will return results that
include all of the keywords entered.
This will bring up fewer results, but
may be more accurate than an OR search. |

Without the term:
(Advanced search operator: NOT) |
The search will return results with the
keywords together as a phrase if you
select this option or enclose the phrase
in quotation marks. |

Near the term:
