Hue University is the first university in central Vietnam.
It was established in 1957. Now, Hue University
is a multi-disciplinary and multi-field training
center with 7 affiliated colleges and two
faculties under the direct management of Hue
University: College of Education, College of
Sciences, College of Medicine and Pharmacy,
College of Agriculture and Forestry, College of
Arts, College of Economics, College of Foreign
Languages and Faculty of Physical Education,
Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism.
The Hue Learning Resource Center (LRC) is being built to provide advanced education resources and
access for students and academics at the Hue University and provide on-line teaching and training programs.
It will be a gateway for access and exchange of education and information programs with other Vietnamese and
international universities. The LRC will also provide comfortable and modern workstations, study areas and
conference and training facilities. 50 staff of LRC is always eager to support Hue University staff and
students to approach information.
The LRC is engaged with Hue University goals and strategies.
The LRC’s mission is to contribute to the further development of Hue University.

Training
services
Our Centre has a great deal of training activities available, especially aimed at in-depth training.
We, in collaboration with foreign universities, are opening graduate and post-graduate training courses
or distance training via Internet. Furthermore, we can organize applied IT training courses and co-organize
professional English courses.
Information
and Circulation services
We provide information, print materials such as books, magazines, periodicals selected for specific purposes,
collect local valuable materials, and exchange resources with other libraries.
Others
Our Centre has available services of making microfilm, cd-rom, tape, videotape…
for record, of producing training programs via Internet and renting conference,
meeting rooms for international and domestic users. (We also conduct translation as well as interpretation on request).
Besides, we are heading to users’ comforts with services of fast-food restaurant, beverage, café internet…
